LED screens for car dealerships
A wall behind the car and a transparent screen on the window — the car stays the hero, the screen works as a backdrop.
In the showroom the screen plays brand videos and the configurator. Pitch P1.86–P2.5, colour tuned to the brand palette.
On the showroom window — transparent mesh: advertising outside, light and street view inside.
The scene visualisation is generated; the project photos below are real.

An LED screen in a car dealership solves three different tasks: a wall behind the car in the showroom, a transparent screen on the window and an outdoor screen at the entrance. The car stays the hero and the screen works as a backdrop, showing brand videos, trim levels and the configurator at full size. Since 2012 KazLedPro has supplied and installed LED screens in Almaty and across Kazakhstan, with installation by our own crew.
For the sales office of the RAMS construction company in Almaty we delivered two screens at once: an indoor P3 built from 192×192 mm modules with stage lighting, and an outdoor cabinet screen at P10 (February 2020). At Smart Point in Almaty a screen of 320×160 mm modules serves presentations and events with a viewing distance from four metres (September 2021). The module warehouse is in Almaty, so a replacement or an extension does not wait for an overseas shipment.
This page covers the pixel pitch and brightness a showroom, a window and a facade need, how transparent mesh differs from a regular screen, how a curved wall behind the podium is built and how to put the configurator on screen. If you are choosing an LED screen for a dealership, the answers are here, and the site calculator estimates the cost from your dimensions.
Showroom, window and facade: three different screens
In a showroom the customer comes within two or three metres, so the pitch has to be fine: P1.86 at 288,906 dots per square metre or P2 at 250,000. On such a canvas a trim table stays readable and the body of a car does not break into dots on a photo. A 140-degree viewing angle horizontally and vertically keeps the image even as the customer walks around the car. For a wide wall behind the podium P2.5 is enough, since it is viewed from further away.
The window takes transparent mesh: P2.6×5.2 at 70% transparency or P3.91×7.82 at 65%. From outside it is a full screen at 2,000–4,500 cd/m²; from inside daylight passes through and the cars behind the glass stay visible. A 1000×1000 mm cabinet weighs 7.5 kg with a panel thickness of 40 mm, so the glazing needs no heavy structure. At the entrance and on the facade the 960×960 mm outdoor cabinet P4–P8 does the work: 5,500–7,800 cd/m², IP68 and an operating range from minus 40 to plus 50 °C.
- Wall behind the car: P1.86–P2.5, 640×640 mm cabinets
- Window: mesh P2.6×5.2 or P3.91×7.82, 65–70% transparency
- Curved wall behind the podium: flexible 320×160 mm modules on magnets
- Entrance and facade: outdoor cabinet P4–P8, IP68, 5,500–7,800 cd/m²
- Filming clips in the showroom: refresh rate from 3,840 Hz
Our projects: sales offices and showrooms
The RAMS sales office in Almaty is a telling project: inside, a P3 screen of 192×192 mm modules together with stage lighting; outside, an outdoor cabinet screen at P10 aimed at street traffic (February 2020). One contractor covered both tasks, so the client has a single warranty and a single service number. At Smart Point in Almaty we installed a screen of 320×160 mm modules for presentations and events (September 2021).
Close in nature are our retail and traffic projects: screens in the Adidas, Lacoste and SuperStep stores, the Royal Petrol filling-station chain in Almaty with a screen of 320×160 mm modules (May 2019), and the 48 m² outdoor corner screen at pitch P5 on the facade of Atakent Mall (September 2023). In total we have more than a thousand projects across Kazakhstan, and many of them are in the portfolio with photos and video testimonials.
Brand colour, content and installation without closing the floor
Car brands are strict about corporate colour, so after installation we calibrate the screen: colour temperature and brightness are set so that the corporate shade on screen matches the brand book and does not fight the showroom lighting. A refresh rate above 3,840 Hz is not only for the eye: dealerships film clips and stories right on the floor, and the video must be free of banding.
Content is fed from a media player or a laptop through a video processor: brand videos on a schedule, the configurator from the salesperson's desk, price lists and offers at a button. A curved wall behind the podium is built from flexible 320×160 mm modules that bend to a radius and hold on magnets. Installation runs in the evening or at the weekend, with cable hidden in trunking; cabinets are serviced from the front, so access behind the screen is not needed. Warranty is 2–5 years depending on the model.
How the project goes
- 1
Enquiry and survey
Send photos of the showroom, window or facade and the dimensions of the space for the screen. In Almaty an engineer comes to measure; elsewhere we work from drawings, photos and the showroom layout.
- 2
Selection and estimate
We match pitch to viewing distance and calculate resolution, weight and power, checking the load on the window glazing separately. A quotation follows within a day.
- 3
Contract and preparation
We agree power and rigging points, cable routes and a work schedule that lets the showroom keep receiving customers, then prepare the steel drawing and the specification for the contract.
- 4
Delivery and installation
We build the frame and canvas and connect the video processor and media player. Work happens in the evening or at the weekend, cable goes into trunking and the floor is handed back clean.
- 5
Launch and training
We calibrate colour to the marque's palette, set brightness and the schedule and load the first content, then show the manager how to change clips. After that: warranty and service from the Almaty warehouse.
What the price depends on
The cost of an LED screen for a car dealership depends on pixel pitch, canvas area and where it stands: a showroom wall, a window or an outdoor facade. We calculate the exact figure from your dimensions: the site calculator gives an estimate at once and a quotation is ready within a day.
Pixel pitch
The finer the pitch, the more LEDs per square metre and the dearer the canvas. A wall approached from two metres needs P1.86–P2; a wide backdrop behind the podium is fine at P2.5.
Area and resolution
Price grows with area, while resolution sets the number of receiving cards and the class of video processor. A full showroom wall is priced differently from a screen above the reception desk.
Type of construction
640×640 mm cabinets assemble faster and are serviced from the front; 320×160 mm modules fit a recess more precisely. Transparent mesh for the window and flexible modules for a curve are priced separately.
Indoor or outdoor version
A screen at the entrance or on the facade is an outdoor cabinet at 5,500–7,800 cd/m², IP68 and working down to minus 40 °C. Indoor models are lighter and use less power.
Steel structure and installation
A wall frame, a suspension above the podium or a fixing to the window glazing are priced separately. Canvas weight, mounting height and work outside trading hours all affect the estimate.
Control and electrics
Video processor, media player, power lines from the switchboard and UTP to the screen. With several screens — showroom, window, facade — add a shared schedule and a network between them.
Questions and answers
Which pixel pitch should I choose for a showroom?
A simple guide: viewing distance in metres roughly equals pitch in millimetres. Customers walk up to a showroom wall within two or three metres, so P1.86–P2.5 is the right range. If the screen sits behind a podium and is viewed from five or six metres, there is no need to pay for fine pitch; P2.5–P3 will do.
Will the screen glare or fight the showroom lighting?
An LED screen is a light source in itself, so showroom lighting does not interfere with it, and unlike a projector it needs no darkened room. Brightness is set during commissioning to match your lighting, and the 140-degree viewing angle keeps the image even as the customer walks around the car.
Will the screen block the window and the view of the cars?
Not if you use transparent mesh. The P2.6×5.2 model is 70% transparent and P3.91×7.82 is 65%: from outside it is a screen at 2,000–4,500 cd/m², from inside daylight passes through and the cars behind the glass remain visible. A 1000×1000 mm cabinet weighs 7.5 kg, so the glazing needs no heavy structure.
Can you build a curved wall behind the podium?
Yes, that is what flexible 320×160 mm modules are for: they bend to a radius and hold on magnets, with indoor pitches from P1.53 to P2.5. Waves, columns and rounded walls behind a car are built this way. We calculate the bending radius and the layout in advance from your podium drawing.
Will the marque's corporate colour match on screen?
After installation we calibrate the screen, setting colour temperature, brightness and balance so the corporate shade matches the brand book under the lighting you actually have in the showroom. Reference shots go to the dealership's marketing team before the handover, and calibration is repeated if needed.
How do we put the configurator and brand videos on the screen?
Content comes from a media player or the salesperson's laptop through a video processor. Brand clips run on a schedule, while the configurator or a trim page goes on screen in one click from the desk. Several screens in the dealership can be networked and controlled from one place.
How long does installation take and will the showroom have to close?
A 10–20 m² screen is installed and commissioned in one or two shifts. We work in the evening, at night or at the weekend so the showroom keeps receiving customers; cable goes into trunking and the floor is handed back clean. The exact schedule is agreed before the contract is signed.
Do you work with dealerships in other cities?
Yes, the travelling crew works across Kazakhstan: we have projects in Astana, Karaganda, Aktobe, Aktau, Taraz, Turkestan and other cities. Surveys are done from drawings and photos, equipment ships from the Almaty warehouse, and our crew handles installation and commissioning on site.
