Light and sound

Stage lighting and sound equipment: sale and rental

Light, truss, cabling and sound for the stage — supplied and installed with the screen or on its own.

Fixtures

Beam moving heads

A narrow, powerful beam visible in the air over long distances. Professional-class equipment: large open-air events, halls, clubs and bars. DMX-512 control over a signal cable, master/slave modes, auto programs and sound activation. Colour and gobo change without filters.

LED moving heads

The body rotates and redirects the beam; flashes in time with the music create movement and hold the room. Unlike discharge lamps, an LED head changes colour and brightness without filters, draws less power, lasts longer and is safer to dispose of.

Wash light and PAR

An even colour wash over the stage and the hall, accent lighting in restaurants, banquet and conference halls. RGBW mixing gives any shade, including warm white for camera. Low consumption, silent operation, long LED life.

Stage and theatre laser

Covers an area of up to 250 m² and is controlled over DMX-512. It draws laser figures and creates the effect of scanned space. Paired with a haze machine it works far better — without haze the beam is invisible in the air.

Smoke, haze and special effects

Heavy low-lying smoke, haze, flame. Special effects are expensive, so far from every venue owns its own — we bring ours and run it on site together with an operator.

Consoles and control

The DMX-512 digital protocol brings every fixture onto a single console. Scenes are programmed in advance and the operator switches them during the event. A Martin 1024 console and the DMX lines are part of the package.

What else is needed besides the fixtures

Truss and rigging

Truss 20×20, clamps, stands and rigging. We calculate the rigging load and agree the layout with the venue before installation.

Cabling

KLOTZ microphone cable, power lines, XLR connectors. Cable trunking and wall routing, the same as on a screen installation.

Installation and service

We deliver, rig, set up and collect. A technician stays for the event if the venue needs one.

The exact set and price are put together for the venue: stage type, rigging height, number of fixtures. Installation and delivery are quoted separately.

Light and sound

Light that makes the event

Moving heads, wash lights, sound from 1 kW and an engineer on site. We assemble a kit for your venue and bring it together with the screen.

KazLedPro's lighting and sound equipment is everything that stands around the screen and without which a stage does not work: moving heads, wash light and PAR fixtures, laser, haze machines, a console and DMX lines, speakers, a mixer, wireless microphones and all the cabling. We sell it for a specific hall and rent it out for events. We have been doing this since 2012, with the stock and warehouse in Almaty.

Two kinds of clients take light and sound. The first need a permanent set for their own hall: a school assembly hall, a banquet hall, a house of culture, a club, a hotel conference room. The second need equipment for one evening: a conference, a wedding, a concert, a corporate party, an exhibition. The tasks differ, but the selection is the same: first the hall dimensions, rigging height and audience size, then the fixture list.

The set is put together for the venue, installed by our own crew and commissioned together with the screen if there is one. A technician stays for the event; in a permanent hall we train your own operator to work the console. The exact composition and cost are calculated for the venue, and the proposal is sent within a day.

Lighting fixtures

Light is chosen by hall size and rigging height, not from a catalogue list. A banquet hall for a hundred guests needs wash light and a few moving heads; a concert venue needs Beam fixtures whose shaft is visible in the air, plus laser and haze. Every fixture is brought onto a single console over the DMX-512 digital protocol: scenes are programmed in advance and the operator switches them during the event.

  • Beam moving heads: a narrow, powerful beam visible over long distances. DMX-512 control, master and slave modes, auto programs, sound activation, colour and gobo changes without filters.
  • LED moving heads: the body redirects the beam, and flashes in time with the music hold the room. Colour and brightness change without filters, power draw is lower and the service life is longer.
  • Wash light and PAR: an even colour wash over stage and hall, accent lighting in restaurants and conference rooms. RGBW mixing gives any shade, including warm white for camera.
  • Stage and theatre laser: covers an area of up to 250 m², controlled over DMX-512, draws figures and creates the effect of scanned space.
  • Smoke, haze and special effects: heavy low-lying smoke, haze, flame. We bring the equipment and run it on site with an operator.
  • Consoles and control: a Martin 1024 console and the DMX lines are part of the package.

Sound and cabling

Sound is calculated from the room. A hall with a high ceiling and bare walls sounds different from the same hall with people and curtains in it, and an open-air site needs headroom in power. So a kit is not «two speakers» but loudspeakers sized to the volume of the hall, a mixing console with an effects unit, wireless microphones for the number of speakers, and cabling: KLOTZ microphone cable, power lines, XLR connectors.

Typical jobs are covered by kits from 1 kW upwards: a university lecture, a meeting, a school assembly, a banquet with a host and live music. For a concert or an outdoor event the set is calculated separately, with a sound engineer on site. Cable goes into trunking and along the wall, exactly as on a screen installation, rather than across the floor under the guests' feet.

Ready-made kits for halls

So that the list does not have to be built from scratch, there are three sets for typical halls — the ones taken most often. A hall for up to 80 people: two 750 W speakers, a mixing console with an effects unit, two wireless microphones, cabling, a 3×2 m LED screen and 6 LED Beam fixtures. A hall for up to 120 people where the venue has its own sound: a 3×2 m LED screen, 6 LED Beam fixtures and cabling. A hall for up to 160 people: six 750 W speakers, a mixing console with an effects unit, four wireless microphones, a MiniDisc, 10 moving heads and an 8×4 m star cloth.

A kit can be taken whole, or you can subtract whatever the hall already owns. The cost depends on whether you buy the equipment or take it for the duration of the event; daily reference rates for screen, light and sound rental are given in the Rental section. Sets like these, with light-and-music control, were installed in school and gymnasium assembly halls in Almaty, at the House of Children and Youth in Karaganda (2021) and at the YASY banquet hall in Turkestan (2022).

Sound: buy for your hall or rent for an event

Sale. A permanent sound set for an assembly hall, banquet hall, conference room or club is chosen for the room volume and audience size: speakers, mixer, radio microphones and cabling — together with an LED screen or on its own. Delivered across Kazakhstan, installed and tuned, with your staff member trained. The set and price are calculated for the specific hall from photos and dimensions.

Rental. For a conference, wedding, concert or exhibition we bring the sound in Almaty together with a technician who connects, tunes and stays until the end of the event. Screen, light and sound rental is arranged under one contract. We do not rent sound outside Almaty — there we only sell, with delivery and installation.

Installation, rigging and the technician

The fixtures have to hang on something. We bring 20×20 truss, clamps, stands and rigging hardware; the rigging load is calculated and the layout agreed with the venue before installation — that applies both to ceiling fixings indoors and to an outdoor stage with wind load. In permanent halls the lighting truss often goes up together with the screen: that is how it was done at gymnasium No. 132 and school-gymnasium No. 133 in Almaty, at the NGS private school and at the Tumar banquet hall.

Then come installation, scene programming and a check at the rehearsal. A technician stays for the event: watching light, sound and screen, switching sources, helping the speakers. For a permanent set in your own hall we train your employee: scenes are stored in the console and recalled with one button afterwards. Service, repair and additions to the kit are done on request.

How the project goes

  1. 1

    Enquiry and venue

You tell us about the hall or the event: dimensions, ceiling height, number of guests, what happens on stage. For a new venue we come out to look at rigging, power and vehicle access.

  2. 2

    Choosing the set

We calculate the number of fixtures, the sound power and the cabling for that hall. We show what is in the kit and what can be taken from the venue so you do not pay for it twice.

  3. 3

    Quote and contract

We send a proposal with the item list, dates and terms — purchase or rental for the date. Once agreed, we fix the composition and reserve the equipment.

  4. 4

    Installation and setup

We deliver, rig on truss or on the hall's own fixings, connect everything, program the scenes in the console, tune the sound to the room and run a full check before the start.

  5. 5

    Event or handover

At an event our technician works through to the strike. For a permanent set — acceptance act, training for your employee, warranty and service on request.

What the price depends on

The cost of a lighting and sound package is made up of the number and class of fixtures, the sound power needed for the volume of the hall, the rigging and the work on site. Purchase and rental are calculated differently, so we build the price around the task: send the hall dimensions and the date, and the proposal will be ready within a day.

Number and class of fixtures

Wash light and PAR cost less than moving heads, and Beam fixtures cost more than LED heads. What is counted is not a list of models but how many points are needed to light the stage and the hall evenly.

Sound power and microphone count

The kit is sized to the volume of the room and the number of people speaking. A high-ceilinged hall, an open-air site and live music all need more headroom than a host with a microphone.

Purchase or rental

A permanent set for your own hall is paid for once; rental is per shift and depends on the term. Buying equipment for a single evening makes no sense; for weekly events it does.

Rigging and height

Truss, clamps and rigging hardware, work at height, load calculations agreed with the venue. The hall's own rigging costs less than a structure we bring in and ballast outdoors.

Cabling and power

Microphone cable, power lines, connectors, trunking and wall routing. On a large stage this is a visible share of the work and materials, not a footnote at the end of the quote.

Technician and programming

Scene programming, the operator's work at the event, training for your employee. A complex show with several sources adds a dedicated lighting operator.

Questions and answers

Do you sell equipment or only rent it out?

Both. Permanent sets are bought for school assembly halls, banquet halls, clubs and conference rooms: the equipment stays in the hall and we train the staff. Rental is taken for a specific event, with installation, a technician and removal after closing. Many clients start with rental and install their own set a season later.

Can light, sound and a screen go under one contract?

Yes, and it is simpler that way: one quote, one crew, one person responsible on site. Screen, truss, light, sound and cabling arrive together and are set up as a single system. Splitting the contracts only makes sense when you already own part of the equipment.

How many fixtures does a hall need?

It depends on the floor area, the ceiling height and what happens on stage. As a reference from the ready-made kits: a hall for up to 80 people is covered by 6 LED Beam fixtures, a hall for up to 160 people takes 10 moving heads. The exact number is calculated from the floor plan: rigging height and the distance from fixture to stage decide it.

Will your specialist be at the event?

Yes, a technician works from installation to strike: watching light, sound and the screen, switching sources, connecting the speakers' laptops. For a concert or a show with several cameras we add a lighting operator and a sound engineer; that is agreed at the quote stage.

What has to be prepared at the venue?

Separate power lines near the stage, rigging points or floor space for stands and a ground support, vehicle access and time for installation before the start. The rigging layout and load are agreed with the venue in advance. Cables, truss, clamps and cabling we bring ourselves.

How do LED fixtures differ from discharge lamps?

An LED head changes colour and brightness without filters, draws less power, lasts longer and is safer to dispose of. Discharge fixtures give a denser beam, which is why Beam heads are still used on large sites. In a hall for one or two hundred people the audience will not notice the difference in brightness, but the owner will notice it on the electricity bill.

Is haze needed for laser and beam light?

It is. A beam is only visible in hazy air: without smoke or haze a laser draws figures on surfaces only, and Beam fixtures lose half their effect. That is why a haze machine goes into the kit from the start, and we agree it with the venue so the fire alarm is not triggered.

Do you work in other cities?

Yes. The crew and equipment travel across Kazakhstan; logistics is priced separately by distance and volume. Light and sound with light-and-music control have been installed in Karaganda, Turkestan, Taldykorgan and Kokshetau, so a travelling installation is routine for us rather than an exception.
