Warranty and service for the screens we supplied
Warranty 2–5 years, scheduled inspections, module replacement from the Almaty warehouse, remote monitoring. A screen runs for years if it is looked after.
Warranty
Screens of our production and supplied equipment — 2 to 5 years depending on the model. A warranty case is closed by replacing a module, power supply or card; spares for each delivery are kept in the Almaty warehouse.
Service contract
For those who need the screen every day:
- Scheduled inspection twice a year: fixings, cabling, power supplies, cleaning of outdoor screens.
- Response time fixed in the contract — a working day for Almaty.
- Remote monitoring: temperature, card status, what the screen shows.
- Software updates and content help.
- Service log.
Screens we supplied earlier
Service is part of our supply: after the warranty we keep maintaining the screens we selected and installed — under a contract or as one-off visits. We know their composition down to the card model and find compatible replacements for discontinued modules. We do not take on other screens or stand-alone repairs.
Spare parts
Modules, power supplies, receiving cards and cables for all models in our price list — in stock.
An LED screen is not a television: it has hundreds of modules, dozens of power supplies and receiving cards, and any of them can fail. Repair and maintenance of LED screens is the second half of our work after installation. KazLedPro has been installing screens in Almaty and across Kazakhstan since 2012, and all that time has kept a stock of modules, power supplies and cards in Almaty: a warranty case is closed by replacement, not by waiting for a parcel from abroad.
Service is part of our supply: we maintain the screens we selected, installed and know down to the receiving-card model. A dead module, a coloured stripe, a screen that does not see the computer, colours drifting after several years, an outdoor screen that has gone dim — all of these are solvable. We come, diagnose, and name the cause and the cost before work begins. We do not take on other suppliers' screens or one-off repairs of other equipment.
What service and maintenance include
A one-off visit means diagnosing and fixing a specific fault: replacing a module, power supply, receiving card or ribbon cable, restoring the video processor configuration, reflashing cards. After the repair we check the whole screen, not just the repaired area, and match the brightness of new modules to their neighbours — otherwise the replacement shows as a bright patch.
A service contract is designed for screens that work every day: shopping centres, studios, assembly halls, outdoor advertising. A scheduled inspection twice a year: tightening fixings, checking cabling and power supplies under load, cleaning dust from outdoor screens — dust blocks heat dissipation and accelerates ageing. Remote monitoring shows temperature, card status and the picture on the screen from our desk, so we learn about some problems before the customer does.
Our screens years later
The 2–5 year warranty ends, but the screen keeps working — and so does its service, under a contract or as one-off visits. For the screens we supplied we know the composition down to the receiving-card model, so diagnostics do not start from zero. If modules from earlier years are discontinued, we select a compatible replacement or propose migration to another control system and a partial upgrade — sometimes cheaper than a new screen, sometimes not, and we cost both options.
The 2019–2021 screens in our portfolio — the Royal Petrol petrol station network (2019), the Eleven Hotel & Hall banquet hall (2019), the Kazakhstan Hotel (2021) — we assembled ourselves and know their composition down to the card model, so diagnostics do not start from zero. The Shokan Ualikhanov private school in Almaty has worked with us since 2020: a first 9 m² screen, then a 120 m² flexible P2.5 screen in 2023. This is the kind of service that makes buying from a local company worthwhile: the contractual response time for Almaty is one working day.
How the project goes
- 1
Enquiry and initial diagnosis
Send a photo or video of the fault and the screen model. The picture often shows what failed: a module, a card or power. At this stage we already say which spare parts are needed.
- 2
Visit and inspection
An engineer visits the site, checks power, signal, cards and modules and reads the processor status. The result is a report with the cause, the list of work and the cost before the repair starts.
- 3
Spares from stock
Modules, power supplies, receiving cards and ribbon cables for the models in our catalogue are kept in our Almaty warehouse. For screens from earlier years whose modules are no longer produced, we select compatible parts or order originals.
- 4
Repair and calibration
We replace failed units, restore the configuration and match the brightness and colour of new modules to their neighbours. We test the whole screen under load, not just the repaired area.
- 5
Check and service log
We show the result to the customer and record in the service log what was replaced and where. We give recommendations: what to keep as spares, when the next inspection is due, what to watch for.
What the price depends on
The cost of a repair is made up of the call-out, labour and parts; contract maintenance depends on the number of screens and the inspection frequency. We quote after diagnosis, not over the phone: the same «stripe on the screen» can be a five-minute ribbon cable or a card that needs reflashing. We calculate an exact estimate from the model and photos of the screen, and a commercial proposal is ready within a day.
Nature of the fault
Replacing a module or ribbon cable is a short job. A failed receiving card with configuration recovery, water ingress into an outdoor screen or migration to another control system take more time and parts.
Screen model and age
Parts for the models in our catalogue are in stock in Almaty. Screens from earlier years with discontinued modules need compatible modules and cards to be sourced or originals ordered, which extends the timeline and adds cost.
Access to the screen
An indoor screen with front access to modules is serviced from a stepladder. A facade at height needs a lift or rope access; night work in a shopping centre is agreed with the management.
One-off visit or contract
A service contract with scheduled inspections and remote monitoring costs less per year than emergency call-outs and gives a fixed response time. For a single screen in a hall, one-off visits are often enough.
Questions and answers
How long does an LED screen last?
According to the data sheets of the models in our catalogue, LED lifetime is 100,000 hours for indoor and outdoor cabinets and 50,000 hours for the P15 media facade. In practice power supplies and ribbon cables age before the LEDs do, and they are replaced without replacing the screen. With scheduled maintenance a screen runs for years.
A rectangular area of the screen has gone dark. What is it?
A dark rectangle the size of a module is most often the module itself or its ribbon cable. A stripe across several modules is a receiving card or a signal cable. A whole segment is a power supply. Do not dismantle the screen yourself: send a photo and we will tell you what to bring to the site.
Will you take on a screen installed by another company?
No. KazLedPro service is part of our supply or rental: we answer for the screens we selected, installed and know down to the card model. We do not do diagnostics or repair of other equipment as a separate service. If an old screen has reached the end of its life, we will visit, assess the site and quote a replacement with a 2–5 year warranty.
How quickly do you arrive after a request?
Under a service contract the response time for Almaty is one working day, written into the contract. One-off requests are handled according to crew availability, usually within the next few days. For other cities in Kazakhstan we plan the visit together with parts delivery to resolve everything in one trip.
What does the warranty cover and what does it not?
The 2–5 year warranty, depending on the model, covers failure of modules, power supplies and cards under normal operation — by replacement from the Almaty warehouse. It does not cover mechanical damage, flooding from inside the building or the consequences of operating outside the rated conditions, for example without power protection.
Should we keep spare modules on site?
For a network of screens we recommend spares of 2–3 % of the module count plus a power supply and a receiving card of each type. For a single screen in Almaty a stock is not essential — the warehouse is nearby. In another city it makes sense to keep one or two modules and a power supply to cover a failure until the crew arrives.
