LED columns for Lacoste at Aport mall

In the Lacoste store at Aport mall on Kuldzhinsky Highway in Almaty, KazLedPro turned the structural columns of the sales floor into digital objects. A column is normally an obstacle: it divides the floor, blocks sightlines and brings nothing but structural necessity. Clad in screens, it becomes the most prominent advertising surface in the store.

Two columns, different wraps

• The first column is clad on two sides — a corner structure that reads from two directions of travel.
• The second column is clad on three: the front and both flanks. That wrap gives almost full-circle visibility — the content is visible from anywhere on the floor.

The different wraps were not arbitrary: they depend on how each column sits relative to the flow. Where customers walk around a column on two sides, a third face would have faced a wall and been money spent for nothing.

Screen in the footwear zone

Additionally, the footwear department has a screen of about 4.5 m² with pitch P2.6. It marks out a separate product zone and shows content tied to footwear rather than the store’s general film.

Why a column is a good place for a screen

A column stands in the middle of the floor, not against a wall: flow forms around it on four sides. A screen on a wall is seen only by people facing that wall; a screen on a column enters the field of view of nearly the whole floor. And the panel on a column takes no retail floor space — the structure was already there.
