SuperStep LED screens at MEGA Park

The entrance area of the SuperStep store at MEGA Park in Almaty is divided by four columns. KazLedPro used that as the basis for the screen layout: each column had a recess prepared, and a screen was installed in it flush with the column surface.

Four screens in columns

• Area of each screen — about 8 m²
• Pixel pitch — P2.5
• Installation — into a recess in the column, in the same plane as its surface

A recess is fundamentally different from hanging a screen on a column. A mounted panel always protrudes: an edge appears, a shadow, something to catch a shoulder on. A screen sunk into a prepared recess becomes a glowing part of the column itself — with no projections and no visually disconnected elements.

Seven tickers — 50 metres

The footwear zone holds seven tickers of different sizes, following the geometry and angles of the space.

• Combined width — about 50 metres
• Height — 25 cm
• Pixel pitch — P2.6

Tickers of different lengths form one continuous composition running along the footwear display and underlining its architecture. Where the wall turns, the line does not break but carries round the corner — which is why seven separate structures were needed instead of one long one.

Screen behind the till

The till area has an additional screen: pitch P2.5, about 5 m².

What the store got

• four screens built into the columns with nothing protruding;
• 50 metres of ticker following the geometry of the footwear zone;
• a screen behind the till;
