SuperStep LED screens at Dostyk Plaza

In the SuperStep store at Dostyk Plaza in Almaty, KazLedPro built an LED system in which the screens face the flow and the tickers form one continuous line along a side wall.

Two screens facing each other

The two main screens are mounted on opposite side walls of the entrance area — facing each other and facing people walking in. One of them is about 10 m², pixel pitch P2.5.

The arrangement creates a symmetrical composition at the entrance and, more importantly, two points of display at different angles: a visitor who turns away from one screen ends up facing the other.

Four tickers — 28 metres

All four tickers run along one side of the store and form a single horizontal LED line.

• Combined width of all four — about 28 metres
• Height of each — 25 cm

A rigid PVC housing was fabricated for each ticker. The housings cover the fixings and the ends and bring four separate structures to a single appearance — the line reads as continuous even though it is assembled from parts.

Screen behind the till

The till area has its own screen: pitch P2.5, about 5 m².

Different content on each screen

A distinctive feature of the project is that the four screens show different content. Each zone gets its own message: the season’s campaign at the entrance, a brand or a model by the footwear wall, a promotion or a service note behind the till. All of it stays inside one design concept, so the floor does not look like a set of unrelated signs.

Technically that means independent playback zones and one control system: content is assigned by zone and changed from a single place.

What the store got

• two opposing points of display in the entrance area;
• 28 metres of ticker in one line along the wall;
• a separate screen behind the till;
• independent content by zone from one control system;
• housing fabrication, installation and service by KazLedPro in Almaty.
