adidas LED screens at FORUM mall

KazLedPro equipped the adidas store at FORUM mall in Almaty not with a single screen but with a system of five LED structures of different types. Each solves its own task: the shopfront stops the flow in the gallery, the ticker works at the entrance, the ticker above the till holds attention in the queue, and the screens in the footwear zones mark out product groups. Together they give the store one digital voice instead of a set of printed posters.

An 18 m² transparent screen in the shopfront

The centrepiece of the project is a Transparent LED screen of about 18 m² right in the shopfront. The transparent panel lets light and sight through: the shopfront stays open, the sales floor is visible, and the brand’s content runs over it. A conventional screen of the same area would have closed the shopfront with a solid wall — in retail that loses half the point of glazing.

The screen is suspended on cables. The structure ends up looking light, with no heavy frame or posts in the customer’s line of sight.

A ticker in the entrance area

At the entrance sits a horizontal LED ticker 6 m wide and 16 cm high. It was set into a specially prepared niche flush with the wall, so the line reads as part of the entrance architecture rather than equipment bolted on top.

A flexible ticker above the till

Above the till is a separate non-standard solution: a ticker on a flexible P2.5 module. A flexible frame following the required shape was fabricated for it, and the ticker is suspended on cables. A rigid module here would have had to be broken into straight segments with visible joints; the flexible one follows the line whole.

Two screens in the footwear zones

The footwear zones hold two separate screens of 128 × 256 cm, built on 64 × 64 cm cabinets. Cabinet construction gives even panel geometry and allows service one cabinet at a time without dismantling the whole structure.

What the store got

• a transparent shopfront that works on the gallery flow without closing off the floor;
• five independent surfaces for different content — from an image film to the price of the day;
• advertising changed in a minute instead of printing and re-pasting posters;
