An LED screen for the Pegas travel agency

The Pegas Touristik travel agency at FORUM mall in Almaty got an LED screen of P2.5, about 8 m² from KazLedPro. For a travel agency a screen is not an image exercise but a working sales tool: what is in the window changes together with prices and availability.

A stand-type structure

A dedicated steel stand was fabricated for the installation, designed around the dimensions and constraints of the space. The screen stands vertically in the agency’s opening, facing the mall gallery. The photos show that it reads both from the agency’s own floor and from the atrium below.

A stand rather than wall mounting was chosen because of the layout: the agency opens onto the gallery across its whole front, and there simply is no solid wall of the required size.

What the screen shows

The panel carries last-minute offers, packages, destinations and the agency’s advertising. A P2.5 pitch allows not only large headlines but readable blocks with prices, dates and what the package includes — which is the information that makes a client stop at the window.

Photographs of resorts and hotels look different on an LED panel than in print: the screen has its own brightness, so sky and water do not go dull under mall lighting.

Why this beats printing

Tour prices change constantly. A printed poster with a price is out of date before it has paid for its design and printing, and replacing it weekly is impossible. A screen updates in a minute from a computer — so the agency can keep current offers in the window rather than last season’s.

What the client got

• a window with live prices and destinations and no printing costs;
• a P2.5 pitch — headlines and fine detail blocks both read;
• a stand fabricated for the space;
• installation, commissioning and service by KazLedPro in Almaty.
