Dubai Police Command and Control Centre

The Dubai Police Command and Control Centre is the operational control centre of the Dubai police, where cameras, maps, reports and agency data all come together on a single video wall. In October 2023 KazLedPro supplied and installed LED screens for this site in the UAE. The task differed from the usual halls and facades: operators sit a few metres from the screen and work with small text and tables, so the requirements for pixel density were as high as they get.

What we did

We installed LED screens with a total area of 48 m² and a P0.93 pixel pitch. This is an ultra-fine pitch: there are several times more dots per square metre than on an ordinary conference hall screen, and the image stays sharp even at less than a metre. Such a canvas can hold dozens of windows at once — video feeds, a city map, dispatch panels — and each of them reads like a monitor.

Why this screen

The control centre works around the clock, and the screen in it is the main working tool, not decoration. Unlike a wall assembled from LCD panels, an LED video wall has no seams between modules: a window with a map is not cut by frames, and an operator does not lose a line of text at a joint. Brightness and contrast are stable under the constant lighting of the room, and the modular design allows a single module to be replaced without shutting down the whole wall.
