Shokan Ualikhanov private school

The Shokan Ualikhanov private school in Almaty (Samal-3 district, 37/1) has worked with KazLedPro since 2020. Over five years we supplied three screens for different purposes: a small one for a classroom, a stage screen for the whole assembly hall and a screen for everyday lessons and events. All three stages are described below in order.

2020: the first screen, 9 m²

In April 2020 we installed a 9 square metre LED screen built from 320×160 mm modules. The minimum viewing distance is two metres: this is a fine pitch where the dots are indistinguishable even from the front desk. The screen forms a single canvas with no frames, so it suits lessons with presentations, video playback and events where backgrounds, photos and song lyrics go on the screen. It is driven from an ordinary teacher’s computer. Nine square metres is the format for a classroom, a small hall or a lobby where the viewer sits close: a coarse-pitch screen would look like a grid of dots from two metres. 2023: a flexible 120 m² canvas on the stage

In June 2023 the school came back for a stage screen, and we supplied a flexible LED screen with a total area of 120 square metres and a P2.5 pixel pitch. Flexible modules make it possible to follow the shape of the stage: the canvas does not have to be a flat rectangle, it can curve around a wall or the stage, and the image still stays whole, with no joints or frames. For a P2.5 pitch the comfortable viewing distance starts at about 2.5 metres — children in the front rows see a sharp picture with no visible grain, and any text remains legible from the back row. The screen carries presentations, videos, backgrounds for performances, a live camera feed and holiday graphics.

An area of 120 m² is no longer “a television on the stage” but stage design in itself. The fine P2.5 pitch was chosen because the front rows in a school hall sit close to the stage. The flexible build let us fit the screen into the architecture of the hall instead of adapting the hall to the screen. The brightness of the LED canvas is enough with the lights on, so the hall does not need to be darkened for every event. That project is shown in the video above.

2025: a screen for lessons and events

In March 2025 the school received another screen, this time for everyday work: lessons, presentations, interactive materials and school assemblies. We installed the canvas, set up the control system and handed the school a ready tool: switch it on and it works. The image is single across the whole canvas, with no frames or joints between panels, so text and charts are legible from anywhere in the hall. Content is loaded from a computer: an assembly plan, a lesson presentation, a clip for the first day of school — everything changes in a minute. Why a school needs LED specifically

A projector has a hard life in a school: the lamp dims, the hall has to be darkened, and on a light wall the image loses contrast. An LED screen is noticeably brighter than a projector, works with the lights on and sunlight from the windows, needs no lamp replacement and is designed for years of daily use. For a school running an event almost every week that is a decisive difference.
