Almaty FORUM Shopping and Entertainment Centre

Almaty FORUM is a shopping and entertainment centre in Almaty that people visit for more than shopping: it has a cinema, cafés, children’s areas and a steady flow of visitors from morning to night. In July 2023 KazLedPro supplied and installed LED screens with a total area of 48 m² at the centre. The client needed an advertising and information surface that stays readable in brightly lit galleries and runs all day without breaks.

What we did

We installed LED screens with a P3 pixel pitch and a total area of 48 square metres. A 3 mm pitch gives a comfortable viewing distance from 3 metres: a visitor walking along the gallery or standing by a shop window sees a solid image with no visible grain, while text and logos stay legible from further away. The screens carry tenant videos, announcements of promotions and events, and wayfinding prompts.

Control is centralised: content is uploaded from a computer, the playlist is changed in a few minutes, and videos can be scheduled by time of day.

Why this screen

A mall has a lot of light — shop windows, ceiling fixtures, a glazed roof. TV panels and projectors look washed out in these conditions, while an LED screen holds its brightness and contrast under any lighting. The P3 pitch was chosen as a balance: a viewer in the gallery rarely comes closer than two or three metres, so a finer pitch would only raise the cost without any gain in quality, while a coarser one would already show grain up close.
