A transparent 15 m² LED screen for Nike

For the Nike store at Aport mall on Kuldzhinsky Highway in Almaty, KazLedPro installed a large transparent LED screen of about 15 m². It is one of the clearest demonstrations of what transparent technology gives: the photos show both the screen lit with bright content and the screen switched off, when the sales floor is fully visible through it.

Suspended on cables

The defining feature of the project is the suspended installation on cables. A screen of this area has two routes: a frame with posts, or a suspension. A frame would have taken space in the shopfront and blocked the view from below; a cable suspension leaves the structure visually weightless — the panel appears to hang in the air behind the glass.

A suspension requires precise calculation: the load is distributed across fixing points in the slab, the panel is set true to vertical, and cabling is routed along the cables so no wires hang in the line of sight.

What transparency gives

The shopfront of a sports store is light and a view of the floor. A conventional 15 m² screen would have closed it off completely: a black wall from outside, a dark partition from inside, and an immediately darker floor.

A transparent panel lets light and sight through. In daylight the customer sees both the advertising and the store behind it; in the evening bright graphics work as an illuminated sign. Switched off, the screen barely reads — the shopfront returns to its original look.
