A transparent LED screen for Converse

For the Converse store at FORUM mall in Almaty, KazLedPro installed a compact transparent LED screen measuring 1 × 2 metres right in the shopfront zone. The area is small, but the position was chosen so that the screen enters the field of view of everyone walking the gallery.

Why transparent rather than conventional

The shopfront of a clothing store is product and light. A conventional 1 × 2 m screen placed in the window would have closed it off with a solid black rectangle: switched off, it is simply a dark panel that eats the view and makes the entrance darker.

Transparent LED is built differently: the LEDs sit in strips with gaps between them, so the shopfront and the sales floor show through the panel. In daylight the screen reads as graphics hanging in the air while the store behind stays open. Switched off, it is almost invisible.

A structure for this specific location

A dedicated steel structure with posts was designed and fabricated for the installation, carrying the transparent panel. Fixing to the glass or the ceiling was not an option here: the shopfront has its own geometry and its own load constraints. Posts give stability, allow the screen to be set precisely by height and let the structure be moved later without touching the finishes.

What this gives the store

The small area is offset by movement and position. Bright moving graphics in a transparent shopfront stop the eye better than a static poster three times the size: the eye catches change, not area.
