Nike LED fit-out at MEGA mall

In the Nike store at MEGA mall in Almaty, KazLedPro placed LED structures in three zones — the entrance, the till and the fitting rooms. The formats differ, from a large vertical screen to a line 12 centimetres wide.

Entrance area

A horizontal ticker 5 m wide and 16 cm high runs above the entrance. Next to it stands a vertical screen 2.25 × 3 m with pixel pitch P2.6. A separate steel structure was fabricated for it, calculated for the dimensions and weight of the panel.

The vertical proportion was chosen for full-height content: on a screen of that format a human figure fits whole and close to life size. For a sports brand that films people in motion, that works better than a landscape frame.

Till area

Above the till hangs a suspended ticker on cables: 2.25 m wide, 12 cm high, pitch P2.5. A narrow strip does not block the view for either the cashier or the customer, but stays permanently in the queue’s field of view.

Fitting-room area

At the entrance to the fitting rooms stands a vertical ticker 2.80 m high and 12 cm wide. A vertical ticker is a rare format: it goes where a line is needed but there is no width available. By the fitting-room passage it is the only free surface.

Why four different formats

Every zone dictates its own dimensions. The entrance has height — so a vertical screen went there. Above the till there is length but no height — so a strip went there. By the fitting room there is height at a hand’s width — so a vertical line went there. Fitting zones to stock screen sizes makes no sense: it is easier to build the panel around the place.
