LED screen for a school in Taldykorgan

In December 2021 KazLedPro installed an LED screen at a school in the city of Taldykorgan. December at a school is the season of New Year parties and concerts, and the screen was ready just in time for them: the stage of the school hall got a bright video backdrop instead of paper snowflakes and fabric.

What we did

We installed an LED screen built from 320×160 mm modules. The minimum viewing distance is 4 metres: the front rows see a solid image, while captions and text remain readable from the back rows. The canvas is continuous, with no frames, so full-screen video, photographs and backdrops for performances all look right on it. It is controlled from an ordinary school computer; a teacher or event organiser changes the content as the programme goes on.

Why this screen

A school hall is a seated venue: the audience sits no closer than several metres from the stage, so a viewing distance from 4 metres is sufficient here, while a finer pitch would only increase the budget with no difference visible from the hall. Unlike a projector, an LED screen does not require the lights to be turned off — a ceremony or concert runs in full light and the picture stays bright. The 320×160 mm modules made it possible to build the screen to the size of the stage.
