LED screen for a school in Karaganda

A school in Karaganda approached KazLedPro for an LED screen for its assembly hall. In early June 2021 — right after the end of the school year, when the hall was free — our crew travelled to Karaganda and installed the screen on the stage. By the start of the new school year the school had a venue for ceremonies, celebrations, competitions and parent meetings, with a large bright picture instead of a projector and printed backdrops.

What we did

We installed an indoor LED screen built from 256×256 mm modules assembled into a single canvas. The minimum viewing distance is 4 metres: pupils in the front rows see the image without visible dots, while presentation slides and captions remain readable from the back rows. The square module made it possible to build a canvas matching the proportions of the stage. The screen works with the hall fully lit — important for morning ceremonies and events with the younger classes, where dimming the lights is inconvenient.

Why this screen

A school assembly hall is a room of medium depth where the front row stands a few metres from the stage. A screen designed for a distance from 4 metres gives the same perceived sharpness here as a fine-pitch one but costs noticeably less per square metre — and for a school budget that is the decisive argument. Another advantage over a projector is service life: LED modules are built for years of daily operation with no lamps to replace and no noticeable loss of brightness.
