LED screen at Casino Montana

Casino Montana is an entertainment venue in the city of Kapchagay (today called Konaev) not far from Almaty. In early October 2021 KazLedPro supplied and installed an LED screen in the casino lobby. The task was to meet the guest with a bright picture right at the entrance: tournament posters, the evening’s programme, advertising for the restaurant and the shows, instead of static light boxes.

What we did

We installed an indoor LED screen built from 256×256 mm modules. A square module assembles easily into a canvas of the required proportions, and the joints between modules are invisible — the lobby got one large picture rather than a mosaic of panels. The minimum distance from viewer to screen is 4 metres: comfortable for a lobby where the screen is seen from the walkway and the waiting area rather than at arm’s length. Such a screen runs announcements of tournaments and events, clips for the restaurant and bar, sports broadcasts and the venue’s image content.

Why this particular screen

A casino lobby is a space with subdued but rich decorative lighting, where colour depth and the absence of glare matter more than peak brightness. An LED screen wins here over a projector and television panels: black stays black, red stays red, and the surface does not reflect the chandeliers. The 256×256 mm format at a distance from 4 metres gives a clean picture at the scale of the lobby and does not require paying extra for a fine pitch.

What the venue received

• a screen that greets the guest at the entrance and sets the mood for the evening;
• fast updates of posters and offers from a computer, with no printing;
• broadcasts of matches and shows for guests in the waiting area;
• delivery, installation and commissioning by KazLedPro with travel outside Almaty.
