LED screen at Bazis Astana

In early January 2021 KazLedPro installed an outdoor LED screen for the Bazis company in Astana — the city was still called Nur-Sultan at the time. The client needed a large outdoor surface for advertising and information that would be visible from the street at a distance and would survive a capital-city winter: the installation fell in the coldest weeks of the year. What we did

We installed an outdoor LED screen with a P10 pixel pitch, built from 960×960 mm cabinets. The minimum distance from viewer to screen is 10 metres, that is, the screen is designed to be seen from the roadway, the pavement opposite and the car park, not from close up. The 960×960 mm cabinet is the outdoor format with a sealed housing: the electronics are protected from snow, rain and dust, and there is enough brightness to read the screen in sunlight.

The canvas is assembled into a single seamless surface and is controlled remotely: clips and notices are uploaded from a computer and the playback schedule is set in advance.

Why this particular screen

An outdoor screen viewed from ten metres and beyond does not need a fine pixel pitch: P10 gives a solid picture at that distance and costs and consumes noticeably less than a screen of the same size with a fine pitch. The large 960×960 mm cabinet speeds up installation — fewer joints and fixings, which matters especially when working in frost — and gives a rigid structure that handles wind and the swing from winter cold to summer heat.
