LED screen at Almaty International School

Almaty International School is an international school in Almaty with a busy events programme: assemblies, theatre productions, concerts, graduations. In early April 2022 KazLedPro installed an LED screen and stage lighting at the school. The task was stated simply: the stage should look like a real one, and teachers and senior students should be able to run it themselves, without calling in specialists.

What we did

An LED screen built from 320×160 mm modules — a single seamless canvas showing presentations, student videos, captions and backdrops for productions. The minimum distance from viewer to screen is 4 metres, so the picture is clean both from the front row and from the back. The screen works with the hall fully lit: curtains and switched-off chandeliers are no longer needed.

Stage lighting — a set of fixtures that gives school concerts and plays their atmosphere: colour changing in time with the music, accents on soloists, a striking opening for a celebration.

Why this particular screen

Two parameters matter for a school hall: the distance of the front row and the load on the screen. A 320×160 mm module at 4 metres to the viewer gives a crisp picture without paying extra for a fine pitch, and indoor modules of this format are designed for daily use — a school screen runs more often than in most offices. The lighting is controlled separately from the screen, so an ordinary assembly needs no lighting technician, while at a concert the fixtures are used at full power.
