An LED screen for Lichi at MEGA Park

The Lichi womenswear store at MEGA Park in Almaty got an LED screen of pixel pitch P2, about 5 m² from KazLedPro.

Position: the side of the entrance area

The screen is installed in the side part of the store, right in the entrance area. Customers see it as soon as they walk in — and at the same time the panel is visible from the mall gallery through the shopfront glazing. One surface works on two audiences: those already inside and those walking past.

The structure is built into a specially prepared niche, so the screen does not protrude from the wall plane and reads as part of the finish rather than as mounted equipment.

Why P2 — the densest pitch in this series

A 2 mm pitch is finer than the P2.5–P3 usual for retail. In a clothing store that is justified: the content here is close-ups of the model, fabric texture, details of the cut. The customer stands a metre and a half from the screen, and at a coarser pitch the dot grid would become visible and the fabric on screen would lose its texture.

Comfortable viewing distance for P2 starts at about two metres, and the image stays acceptable closer than that — which suits the dimensions of the entrance area.

What the store got

• a bright focal point at the entrance, visible from inside and from the gallery;
• high P2 resolution — details of the clothing read from a metre and a half;
• a screen in a niche, flush with the finish;
• installation, commissioning and service by KazLedPro in Almaty.
