What we did

We supplied and installed an LED screen in the assembly hall of KIS school. The screen became the visual centre of the stage: it carries pupils’ presentations, videos, backgrounds for concerts and a live feed of the action for the back rows. The canvas is assembled from modules without seams, so both the text on a slide and a face in close-up read as one image. The screen is controlled from an ordinary computer — a teacher or a pupil can start the file they need without a technician.

Why an LED screen suited the school

The main trouble with a projector in an assembly hall is light: to see anything you have to draw the curtains and switch off the chandeliers, which is inconvenient at a celebration with the younger classes. An LED screen produces its own light and does not care how bright the hall is. The second advantage is size: the canvas is built to the width of the stage rather than to the diagonal of an off-the-shelf panel, and the image is visible from the back row with no grain and no glare.
