The Ilyas Zhansugurov Palace of Culture in Taldykorgan is the city’s main concert venue: holiday concerts, touring shows, regional ceremonies and city meetings. In December 2023 KazLedPro supplied and installed LED screens with a total area of 100 square metres and a P3 pixel pitch for the palace. The task was to replace static scenery with a dynamic background that works at any event, from a children’s concert to an official meeting.
What we did
We installed P3 LED screens with a total area of 100 m². A 3 mm pitch gives a comfortable viewing distance from 3 metres, so the front row of the stalls sees a picture with no grain, while text and close-up faces read from the back rows. The canvas is continuous: scenery, video or a live feed from the stage fills the whole area without seams.
The screens carry background scenery for performances, videos, captions and greetings, and during official events presentations and close-up footage of the speaker for those sitting far away.
Why this screen
The stage is lit by spotlights, and any projection is lost against them. An LED screen, by contrast, holds its brightness and saturated colours next to stage lighting. For a hall of this scale a P3 pitch is the middle ground: the front rows sit a few metres from the stage, so a coarser pitch would be noticeable, while a finer one across 100 m² would raise the cost considerably for a difference nobody in the hall would see.
