Almaty Atakent Mall

Atakent Mall in Almaty is a shopping centre with a constant flow of visitors and busy traffic around the building. In September 2023 KazLedPro completed an outdoor LED screen project here: the client needed an advertising surface readable from a distance, able to work in daylight and noticeable from two sides of the building at once.

What we did

We supplied and installed an outdoor corner LED screen with a P5 pixel pitch and a total area of 48 m². The canvas wraps around the corner of the building, so a single image is visible both from the front and from the side — the screen catches attention from both directions of pedestrian and vehicle traffic. A comfortable viewing distance starts at 5 metres, and from tens of metres away the image stays sharp and contrasty. The screen is built for year-round outdoor operation: the modules are protected against rain, dust and temperature swings, and the brightness is sufficient to keep the picture from fading in direct sunlight. The surface carries tenant advertising videos, announcements of mall events and image content.

Why this screen

P5 is the working standard for facades viewed from the street and the car park: at that distance the viewer does not resolve individual pixels, while the cost per square metre is noticeably lower than for a fine-pitch screen that would have no chance to show its advantages here. The corner structure was a separate task: two canvases have to be brought into one image plane with no gap and no misalignment at the joint, and the content has to be set up for viewing from two sides.

What the mall got

• 48 m² of advertising surface visible from two sides of the building;
• a screen that works outdoors all year round and stays bright on a sunny day;
