LED screen at the Tumar banquet hall

In May 2021 KazLedPro installed an LED screen and stage lighting at the Tumar banquet hall in Almaty. The client wanted to solve two tasks at once: to get a large picture for weddings and celebrations, and to light the hall in a way that removes the need to rent equipment for every event.

What we did

The screen. An LED screen with a P4 pixel pitch, built from 320×160 mm modules. The minimum distance from viewer to screen is 4 metres, which matches the distance from the front tables to the stage exactly: guests see a solid picture with no visible dots. The screen runs greeting clips, photo stories, backdrops for performances and a camera feed for the far tables.

Stage lighting. We assembled a truss and mounted the lighting fixtures on it. A truss is a metal structure that the fixtures hang from; it gives the right height and direction of light and makes it possible to add or change fixtures without rebuilding anything. The lighting works together with the screen: one look for the whole evening, from the formal part to the dancing.

Why this particular set

A P4 pitch is the working standard for banquet halls: it gives a crisp image from 4 metres and is noticeably cheaper than the fine pitches that a hall with a few metres to the stage simply does not need. Truss-mounted lighting of your own pays for itself quickly — the hall stops depending on rental companies and can offer clients a ready-made light show.
