LED screen at the Tulpar banquet hall

The Tulpar banquet hall in Almaty hosts weddings, anniversaries, toi celebrations and corporate evenings — events where guests want to see the couple’s slideshow, video greetings and performances from any table. In early June 2020 KazLedPro supplied and installed an LED screen here. The client needed a picture that does not get lost under chandeliers and party lighting and that makes the hall stand out among competitors.

What we did

We installed an indoor LED screen built from 320×160 mm modules — a solid canvas with no bezels or joints. The minimum distance from viewer to screen is 4 metres: the near tables see a smooth picture with no grain, while the far ones can read the captions and see faces in close-up. The screen runs photo and video stories of the guests of honour, greetings from the guests, clips backing the host and the performers, and a live feed of the stage so that the back tables miss nothing.

Why this particular screen

Lighting in a banquet hall has a life of its own: full light during dinner, dimmed for dancing, coloured for a show. A projector fades in these conditions, while an LED screen is equally bright in any scenario — it can be dimmed, but it does not have to be rescued by darkness. The 320×160 mm module format made it possible to build a canvas of the required width, and 4 metres is enough for a hall where guests sit at tables rather than stand right up against the screen — there was no need to pay extra for a finer pitch.
