In January 2021 KazLedPro installed an LED screen on the grounds of the city administration of Talgar. For a local authority a screen is above all a channel for informing residents: announcements, reception schedules, public service advertising, holiday greetings. Previously this was handled by boards and banners that had to be reprinted with every change.
What we did
We installed an LED screen from 320×160 mm modules. The minimum distance from viewer to screen is 4 metres: from there the image merges into a continuous picture with no visible dots, and the text of an announcement reads in full. The screen is assembled into a single canvas with no seams or frames, so large text, videos and state symbols on public holidays all look equally good on it. Content is prepared on an ordinary computer and updated in a few minutes by the administration’s own staff.
Why this screen
A screen on the grounds of a city administration is viewed from a distance — from the entrance, from the square in front of the building. A fine pitch is therefore unnecessary here: it would only raise the cost of the project with no gain in quality. A 4-metre distance and 320×160 mm modules give the right balance — the picture is sharp at the typical viewing distance, while the cost per square metre stays reasonable for a public body.
What the city administration got
- a permanently working channel for informing the residents of the city;
- announcements and greetings updated without a print shop;
- a screen visible by day in natural light;
- installation and commissioning from KazLedPro.
